Stop Using VESTA VRP/VRS Tankless Water Heaters – CO Emissions Alert

Are you using VESTA’s VRP or VRS Tankless Water Heater at home? If yes, stop using it right now. Here’s why. Recently, VRS, VRS Plus, VRP, and VRP Plus models were recalled due to cracked exhaust ducts. Till October 10, 2025, VESTA has received 10 reports of cracked exhaust ducts across Canada and 33 reports across the United States.

As per the Recall RTR official reports, the company received reports of broken internal parts and safety sensors not working properly. It means the heaters might not shut down as usual upon turning off. Health Canada reported that VESTA’s defective tankless water heaters can release a lethal gas called Carbon Monoxide inside the home, which results in carbon monoxide poisoning. Exposure to such gas can lead to death or serious injury. Some of the symptoms of CO poisoning include headaches, dizziness, weakness, nausea, vomiting, chest pain, and confusion.
